Fifty Shades of Grey may be disappointing, but #MNL50ShadesOfGrey is downright amusing.
In less than 140 characters, Manileños naughtily described what every day life is like in the city.
#MNL50ShadesOfGrey was inspired by #SG50ShadesOfGrey, which trended on social media last Valentine’s weekend. While the original Singaporean version mostly tackles political matters, the Manila version covers current events, our dreadful transportation system, and yes, basketball.
The tweets will give E.L. James a run for her money. To quote a Twitter user, reading them is much more exciting than going on a boring date.
