Manny Pacquiao gets paid to take selfies
(Twitter)
“Pambansang Kamao” Manny Pacquiao’s story is a classic rags-to-riches tale. From winning a measly PHP 100 from underground boxing matches, Pac Man is now raking in millions of dollars in his fights.
Aside from slugging it out inside the ring, taking a quick look on Manny’s Twitter account will reveal that he’s also being paid by Samsung to take selfies.

The eight-division world champion isn’t ranked 11 in the latest Forbes Highest-Paid Athletes list for nothing: his net worth last year was pegged at US$ 41.8 mil, from his salary and endorsements combined.
This year, he is bound to earn much more from the “Fight of the Century” against Floyd Mayweather Jr., bagging US$ 120 million of the expected US$ 300 million revenue from the match—not including the endorsements he has under his boxing mitts.
It was reported that Samsung actually paid him US$ 2 million to share selfies, and US$ 8 million more from Butterfinger and Nike combined.
Well, we seriously wish Samsung would pay some people to stop flooding our Instagram feeds with their selfies.
