People are #ChickenDepressed over Chickenjoy shortage
(www.jollibee.com.ph)
Today, the laking Jollibee kids (AKA everyone) took out their frustrations and desperations on Twitter after learning that some Jollibee branches ran out of Chickenjoy (AKA the most loved fried chicken ever).
dati: isa pa! isa pa! isa pang Chickenjoy! ngayon: wala! wala! walang Chickenjoy! #Chickensad

No #Chickenjoy due to system upgrade? Hi-tech na rin pala ang manok ngayon. #Chickensad #Jollibee

Trending ang #chickensad dahil shortage ang chickenjoy. Di ba dapat chickensadness? Chickendespair? Chickenmisery? — dingdong novenario (@dingkydoink) August 7, 2014
Apparently, it wasn’t just the Chickenjoy that the ‘Bee is having problems with, but also with their other food products.
@Jollibee I ordered Amazing Aloha burger but the crew told me that there is no bacon available, tried palabok crew said no egg #chickensad — Arthur Bellosillo 3 (@artbellosillo3) August 7, 2014
Except for hot choco, soup, and champ, no other food at @Jollibee philcoa. Whuuut!? 0_o

Some branches had it much worse that they had to close down temporarily.

As expected, Jollibee’s social media managers who look after their Twitter account had to address the complaints one by one.
In a report by GMA News Online, Harvey Ong, Jollibee’s vice president for Marketing said that some of their branches in Metro Manila and in surrounding cities are operating with a limited menu due to a “major systems upgrade” for their delivery service.
Despite the worries posted by the people online, the ‘Bee assured them that they will be back on track as soon as possible.
@JhaaRODRIGO We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Some stores are operating w/ a limited menu as we are currently upgrading our systems.
— Jollibee (@Jollibee) August 7, 2014
@JhaaRODRIGO Rest assured that we are committed to having all our products available again within a few days in all our affected stores.
