Instagram’s endless stream of food, friends, and places can make for an addicting and time-consuming habit. If you’re like most people, then your Instagram is pretty mundane: a few meals here, a group photo there. But for photographer and artist Kimi Juan, Instagram has become an outlet to share photos of her travels and the unique landscapes she’s captured. Following her is a visual daydream, an escape from the office world for even just a few seconds each day.
What inspires you to take landscapes/photos of beautiful places?
What led me to do landscape/travel photography was just capturing the beauty of a place in my own perspective and sharing it to the world. For me, looking for beauty in unlikely places is what pushes me everyday to go out and take photos.
For you, what makes the Philippines a beautiful place?
I think what makes the Philippines beautiful is that it really surprises you. People think you have to travel far to find beauty in the Philippines, but I like how I can find beauty in places you would never expect.
